even when you’re in the middle of the Mojave Desert!

Austin, an ambitious and accomplished screenwriter, and his older brother Lee, a beer-swilling, cunning drifter find themselves face to face in their mother’s kitchen after years apart. However, instead of brotherly love, it’s all-out war as their sibling rivalry explodes to reveal their secret envy of each other’s lives. In an unexpected and ironic twist of fate, roles get reversed when Lee sells a screenplay and Austin hits the bottle as a petty thief. The brothers then struggle to prove they can successfully walk a mile in the other’s shoes. Replete with toasters, typewriters and tantrums, Shepard’s chaotic comedy is a true American classic.
