Hub Theatre Company of Boston closes its second season with a regional premiere from one of the Boston area's most acclaimed playwrights, 6 Hotels by Israel Horovitz, at Club Café November 7-22.
In 6 Hotels, Horovitz brings to life six snapshots of humanity at their best and worst with six tales that intersect and overlap in various hotel rooms, bars, and restaurants. Two men reminisce about the women who jilted them; a man and woman whose spouses are cheating on them with each other meet to commiserate; three American college students are stuck in Beirut during the 2006 airstrikes with a young Palestinian woman; a single mom tries to get back into show business; a bellhop and a jilted 'other woman' seek solace in one another all while two concert musicians confront the limitations of their careers. It is a humorous and heartrending mix of art, love, politics, comedy and drama which reveals the all-too-human struggle to find and forge meaningful connections.
